If you are a House user, we may collect personal information from you, including:

  • information about your interactions with us
  • billing information for room bookings
  • your connection to organisations or groups that use the House

 

We collect and use this information to: 

  • manage room bookings
  • help ensure the safety and security of the House
  • keep regular users informed by email about matters that affect their use of the House. You may also choose to opt in to our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.

 

Providing information 

  • Providing some personal information is optional. However, if you choose not to provide an email address, you may not receive important updates about changes to the House that could affect your use.

 

Sharing your information 

  • In addition to our staff, we securely share information with SpaceToCo for the purposes of room bookings only. SpaceToCo’s website provides further information about how they manage privacy and data security in relation to the booking system.

 

Reporting and anonymised data 

  • We may use anonymised information for reporting purposes. For example, we report to Charities Services on the number of people using the House each year.

 

Using the website 

  • When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

  • An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

  • If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
  • If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

  • Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
